VoIP (voice over internet protocol) carries your calls over the internet instead of traditional phone lines. Calls between your own staff are free, and calls to landlines and mobiles cost less than with most traditional providers.

The old phone lines are going

BT is switching off the old copper phone network (PSTN and ISDN), so businesses still on traditional lines will need to move to an internet-based phone system. It makes sense to move to one that gives you more flexibility, not just a like-for-like swap.
